Sony has announced the free games coming to PlayStation Plus users for July, and this is one of the better sets of games that the company has made available to subscribers of its monthly service.

July PlayStation Plus Games

In total, there are three games coming to PlayStation Plus users for July. Sony is making Rise of the Tomb Raider, NBA 2K20, and Erica available for free.

The first game coming to PlayStation Plus in July is Rise of the Tomb Raider, which is a fantastic modernized Tomb Raider experience that's absolutely worth playing if you haven't yet. It's the sequel to the original Tomb Raider reboot, but you can absolutely hop in and play this one even if you didn't get around the playing the original.

The next game is somewhat surprising, and that's NBA 2K20. It's surprising because it's the current game in the NBA 2K line, with NBA 2K21 not launching just yet. If you're a fan of sports games, you can't go wrong with NBA 2k20, as it has a solid 78 on Metacritic. It's still listed at the full $60 price tag on the PlayStation Store, so it's a tremendous value for free.

The final free game is called Erica, and it's this month's smaller game. It's $10 normally, so it wouldn't break the bank even if were to buy it at full price. Still, it's a good chance to dip your toe into a game that you might not try otherwise. It's an interactive live-action thriller that sees you working to solve the mystery of the titular character's past.

When Will July's PlayStation Plus Games Be Available?

All three of the July's PS Plus games will be available to download on July 7, 2020. They're available until August 3, 2020, so don't snooze on picking them up.

As always, you will need to add these games to your cart individually and "purchase" them so they appear in your library for download.
