Right now, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is one of the hottest actors in all of Hollywood. In fact, he's one of highest paid actors out there today, and his rising star has shown no signs of slowing.

While the Rock has played some great roles already such as The Scorpion King, Spencer in Jumanji, Roadblock in G.I. Joe, and Hobbs in Fast & Furious, I can't help but feel like there are some characters out there that would be absolutely perfect for the wrester-turned-actor to play.

1. General Francis X. Hummel

Generally, Dwayne Johnson plays good guys in his roles. Even in The Fast and Furious, his character transitions into working with the protagonists. However, as a longtime wrestling fan, I know that The Rock is capable of playing an incredibly hatable bad guy.

However, I think the perfect bad guy role for The Rock would have some shades of gray to it, and that's why General Hummel from the movie The Rock would be perfect for him. He wants to do something despicable, but his reasoning behind it isn't so bad. That, plus the general badassery of the character makes it a perfect role for The Rock. The Rock in The Rock... 2. James Bond

I probably don't need to go into too much detail explaining who James Bond is. One of the most beloved action heroes in the history of the film being played by one of the most beloved action actions in recent memory feels like a match made in heaven.

Generally, there are a couple of things we associate with James Bond: badass actions and smooth talking. The Rock is more than capable of both of these. Another bonus of having Dwayne Johnson as James Bond is that it would make for the first African-American Bond, which would be great!

3. Black Bolt

Black Bolt is a perfect superhero for The Rock to play. When Dwayne Johnson was in professional wrestling, he was known for his ability to cut promos and verbally belittle his opponents. Black Bolt's signature power comes from his voice, as his electron-harnessing ability is linked to the speech center of his brain.

Seeing as The Rock is one of the greatest talkers in the history of professional wrestling, putting him in the role of a character who uses his voice to defeat his opponents makes perfect sense. To top it off, Black Bolt isn't a super well-known character, and having the star power of Dwayne Johnson would help bring the character to the mainstream successfully.

4. John Matrix

The idea of someone besides Arnold Schwarzenegger playing John Matrix in a Commando movie might sound sacrilegious, but Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson could most definitely do the role justice. He can crack wise, kill people in some creative and interesting ways, and fit into the role incredibly well.

Commando first released in 1985, which means it's been plenty long enough for fans to be ready for a remake of the classic action film. And because The Rock is so beloved, fans wouldn't reject Arnold not being the main character (though it would be cool to see Schwarzenegger make a cameo somewhere in it).

5. Gabe Walker

A classic action movie that doesn't get the love it deserves is Cliffhanger. In spite of Sylvester Stallone playing the role of Gabe Walker, the film's main character, it doesn't get the same level of praise as other movies from the time period. That means it's time to bring it back with The Rock as the main character.

Stallone's portrayal of Walker features plenty of wisecracks and insults to his adversaries, which is something The Rock is able to do very well. While films like Commando and The Rock are more well-known and beloved, the less popularity of this action movie would allow Johnson to put his own spin on the role without upsetting too many fans.
