Is there a more enjoyable Easter egg in a movie than an after credits scene? You think the movie is over and then, boom, there's more. If you can't get enough of a particular film and there's extra after the credits, it's hard not to smile.
Today, we're going to look at some non-Marvel movies that have post-credits scenes that you might not have noticed. Just about every moviegoer knows that Marvel is the king of after the credits, but these movies give the superhero company a run for its money.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off
While this fourth wall breaking post-credits scene might not seem so revolutionary today with the abundance of after credit scenes, at the time it was quite innovative to have a character directly address the audience (as Matthew Broderick does throughout the whole film), and to do it after the credits was unheard of.
The post-credits scene is so great largely because of time and place, but it's also just downright funny and it fits so well with the tone of the movie overall. Does it change the plot or introduce a new character? No, but it does provide a fantastic bit of comedy with one last laugh, and that's always a good thing.
Fast Five
The post-credits scene in Fast Five is nothing special in terms of entertainment value—it's quite short. However, it makes the list because it reveals such a massive detail that it made it impossible to miss the next movie.
Hobbs finds out about a team of drivers who match the M.O. of Dominic Toretto. But it's not Dominic, it's Lettie! Why does this matter? Because we all thought she was dead, and it turns out that she's very much alive, and she's working. The hype for Fast & Furious 6 was literally off the charts with this reveal.
Wayne's World

This is another simple one that doesn't change the plot or revolutionize the movie, but it's definitely good for one more laugh.
As the credits are about to end, we see a shot of Wayne and Garth sitting on their iconic couch, with Garth flipping through the pages of a magazine. Garth realizes that no one is going to tell them when to leave, and Wayne agrees. It's a small moment that'll put a smile on your face!
Napoleon Dynamite
Napoleon Dynamite's post-credit scene makes the cut based on length alone. While most films opt for scenes around 30 seconds to a minute, the scene after Napoleon Dynamite actually lasts a few minutes.
The scene, which is hinted at throughout the movie, features the wedding of Kip and his boisterous fiance LaFawnduh. It's the perfect way to cap off an already hilarious movie, and it might be one of the funniest after credit scenes you'll find. The song alone is worth watching it for!
Crank
There's not a lot to say about Crank's post-credit scene other than to say it's awesome! It's simple, quick, and creative.
Basically, it's just a quick clip of Jason Statham's character Chev Chelios killing a few people in the style of an old video game before his heart explodes and a "Game Over" screen appears. It's not much, but it does the job perfectly.
Big Hero 6
It's impossible to make a list like this that doesn't at least have something Marvel in it and Big Hero 6 delivers that for us. Technically, Big Hero 6 is a Marvel property, but it's not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
At the very end, there's a brief animated Stan Lee cameo. After all, before his passing there was always a Stan Lee cameo in every Marvel movie, and since this technically is one, it fits right in.
Move Over Marvel!
While Marvel might be the company almost everyone associates with well-made post-credit scenes, these movies prove that it's not the only game in town.
